Asthma more common, severe among obese kids: study
By Genevra Pittman NEW YORK (Reuters Health) – Overweight and obese children are more likely to be diagnosed with asthma, according to a new study – and when they do have the condition, it tends to be more severe than in normal weight youth. Researchers found that heavier kids and teenagers with asthma had more emergency room visits for the condition and used more “rescue” medications. …
